Cash & carry giant Booker has reported a 2.3% increase in full-year total sales.

Like-for-like non-tobacco sales rose 3.3% in the year to 28 March, although like-for-like tobacco sales fell 5.4% because of last summer's smoking ban in public places, the wholesaler said in a trading update.

“Booker is on track to deliver results in line with expectations, in spite of the cooling in the economy and the impact of the smoking ban in public places,” added CEO Charles Wilson.
