Lakes on a Plate began this week and runs for a month, featuring Booths products. The retailer's Keswick store provided 220 local items for the show's recipe section. They included lamb, Cumberland sausage, Lancashire strawberries, Morecambe Bay potted shrimps, salmon, scallops, flour, seasoning and herbs.
"We wanted to show the area's true potential and how rich it is with food, as well as its landscape," said chef and presenter Peter Sidwell. "Booths helped me a lot with ingredients. It is good we can get all of the produce from a store on our doorstep."
Shawn Dixon, assistant manager at the Keswick store, added: "It is nice we can reflect the wonderful foods in our region and show people all over the country what great food is produced up here."
