The multiples are still losing out to high street pharmacies in the lucrative suncare sector despite strong performances in other key summer health categories, according to new figures published in The Grocer.
Data from TNS Superpanel [52 w/e February 27, 2005], show Boots’ Soltan remains the UK’s top-selling suncare brand, shaking off competition from retailer own label.
While volume growth of suncare products rose 7% year-on-year, value was down by 1.1% as a result of heavy discounting by pharmacies and retailers.
