Trustin Unimerchants is stretching its Boulevard adult snack brand from formal eating into the more dynamic snacking arena with new products, new pack formats and pack redesigns. The company wants to de-seasonalise its sales  which are now concentrated around Christmas  and is targeting younger, more adventurous consumers. Cocktail Bakes  parmesan, gouda or goat's cheese topped biscuits in bags  hit shelves next week. The format is designed for portability and munching on the move. A bacon variant joins the Nugget biscuit range next month, and spicy, cheesy cocktail wafers and two organic products are due for launch at IFE in March. Fluted breadsticks and bitesize breadsticks in strong spicy flavours are also planned. The brand's traditionally-targeted range is already appearing in new yellow, red and blue windowed packaging which is aimed at greater impact on shelf. Cheese Straws and Cheese Twirls got the new look late last year and Cheese Spirals joined them last week. The packaging will be rolled out across another eight products during the next 10 months. The savoury snacks category has declined slightly overall but the multiples' market share is up to 75%. {{P&P }}
