The multi-million-pound development is part of its roll out of the BP Connect format in Scotland and represents its flagship development in the country. The split site comprises almost 3,000 sq ft of retail space on each side of the motorway and employs more than 60 people. Both sides house Wild Bean cafés with seating areas.
BP now has 118 forecourts in Scotland, 60 of which are run by the company and the rest by franchise-holders. It plans to boost BP Connect numbers in Scotland to 20 by 2006.
