Sales figures for The Guardian and The Observer have been cut after an inspection by the Audit Bureau of Circulation. Revised figures have been issued for August, September and October. Sales had shown an impressive rise, but ABC found that, while sales of the publications had increased, the figures included some multiple copy sales to health clubs which should be removed from audited sales to comply with ABC rules. The Guardian's ABC figure for October dropped from 439,029 to 427,923 while The Observer's figure for October dropped from 483,062 to 439,029 copies. {{CTN }}
