How do you prefer to be paid? Most folk are happy with cash, but kitchen fitter Willaim MacBean is taking pig farmer Norman Jones to court to extract £276 for some additional kitchen lighting fitted three years ago. Jones claims that MacBean agreed to do the extra work in exchange for a pig (cash alternative offered at that time £140), which he would also have killed and butchered into the bargain. MacBean says he made no such agreement and that he does not like pork anyway. So after all this time, the delicate task of sorting out the case falls to Sheriff Booker-Millburn in a small claims hearing on September 21. {{COUNTERPOINT }}
