Out of stocks are undermining the sales and profit potential of snacking products in c-stores and forecourts, according to the latest research from Harris International Marketing.

In a survey of 1,220 snacking and prepared meals (SNAP) shoppers, it found that the intended average spend was £2.81 but shoppers were, however, only actually spending £2.35. A shortfall that was mostly due to out of stocks said chief executive Mike Greene.
