Scottish c-store chain Morning Noon and Night has started delisting household brand names because suppliers are not giving the support it needs, according to marketing director Steven Thompson. Speaking at the MN&N annual conference, Thompson warned suppliers that unless they changed their attitude, MN&N would refuse to see them. "You are wasting your time and ours," he added. Thompson said many of MN&N's 41 stores found that most manufacturers and suppliers were not providing even basic information. He accused them of being "scared of technology" and called upon them to adhere to MN&N's Suppliers' Charter. This would mean providing sales and promotions analysis about market performance and new products. Thompson also advised suppliers they should justify their listings and visit stores to get a feel for the market. {{NEWS }}
