Cadbury has secured the rights to sell all confectionery and packaged ice cream at the London 2012 Olympics after adding Trident chewing gum to its sponsorship roster.

"This allows us to sell our total confectionery range to everyone visiting each London 2012 venue," said Cadbury UK managing director Trevor Bond.

The move was a further demonstration of the company's leadership in confectionery, he added.

Cadbury became the first food and drink supporter of the games in October last year, giving it the rights to use the London 2012 logo on its brands.
