Fans of Shepherd Neame's Spitfire Kentish Ale are being offered the chance to adopt a Spitfire for a year, as part of a promotion to celebrate the 70th birthday of the aeroplane.

The brewer has joined forces with the Imperial War Museum, Duxford and the Historic Aircraft Collection to offer The Ultimate Spitfire Experience. It includes the chance to enjoy a pilot training day, take a flight in a training Spitfire and watch a display at Duxford air shows from the VIP hospitality area.

"Spitfire Premium Kentish Ale is delighted to offer this ultimate experience," said sales and marketing director Graeme Craig. Consumers can enter the competition via the brand's website or look for promotional bottles in stores.
