Cyclists who completed a gruelling trip around Britain's coastline have raised £100,000 for Caravan.

The cyclists completed the 6,535km Great Tour earlier this month, taking 64 days and burning 177,500 calories.

Starting and finishing at Seaton in Devon, five core cyclists completed the entire circuit, joined en route by supporters including Sainsbury's group commercial director Mike Coupe and Fayrefield Foods MD Nick Hilton. Each day of the tour was sponsored by a grocery company.

"Thanks to all those who supported the Tour," Caravan said. "In particular, thanks go to Waitrose, one of the official partners, and to Booker who provided logistics support. We are also thankful to the towns and villages along the way."
