NCR's Digital Promotions software ties in with Superquinn's Superclub loyalty scheme, allowing the Irish chain to reward shoppers at the till.
Previously, updating tills with details of promotions was expensive and time consuming. The new software lets marketers update tills centrally in minutes.
The system also links in with new electronic shelf-edge labelling rolling out to a clutch of stores.
Superquinn head of IT Eric Hayes said being able to create more flexible offers, more often, was vital to maximising the marketing potential of the Superclub scheme, of which nearly 80% of customers were members.
"The challenge is to keep our customers interested by designing new and relevant promotions," he said.
