Japanese c-store chain FamilyMart has struck a deal with Toyota to open stores next door to dealerships in a bid to drive traffic at both businesses. Bosses at the chain said combining the two non competing retailers would attract more customers. The two have also signed a more complex agreement whereby information available on terminals at FamilyMart stores can also be accessed via navigation system in Toyota cars. The partnership follows moves by Wal-Mart to get involved in motoring with a trial selling used cars in Houston and a deal with TracFone Wireless to sell breakdown cover at Wal-Mart stores. {{NEWS }}
