Group turnover for French retailer Casino, could increase by 25% to E28.7bn by 2008, according to an IGD report.

In ‘Casino: Developing Long Term Potential’, it says the French operations’ turnover will increase by E5.2bn to E23.5bn. Group turnover could rise to more than E30bn if Casino gained full control of Laurus or another of its international businesses.

IGD expects continued growth in group store numbers to 11,083 stores in 2008 - an increase of 2,449 since 2003, and growth in sales area to 8.5m square metres.
