Sir; Your story on the Food and Drink's Federation's response to the Food Standards Agency's consultation on its saturated fat and energy programme identified some of the points raised in our response, but it missed one important element ('Fat and sugar cuts "threaten health of elderly and ill"', The Grocer, 7 July, p12). The food industry welcomes the opportunity to work with the FSA on this important programme and supports all four themes suggested in its consultation document. The consultation was designed to gather the views of stakeholders to help the FSA shape its draft programme. The comments contained in our response are a positive contribution to that process.
