BBC Worldwide is to launch two more monthly educational magazines this month aimed at children from five to seven. The Magic Key is linked to a new BBC schools television programme of the same name and to the Oxford Reading Tree scheme used in most primary schools. The second magazine, Number Time, is designed to make mathematics easy and entertaining. Both magazines meet the demands of the national curriculum. The Magic Key stars characters that introduce children to the basics of reading and writing in an adventurous setting. Number Time contains magic tricks, number rhymes, and puzzles to help children explore maths  a far call from a traditional maths workbook, says the publisher. It is linked to the long-running BBC schools radio and television series Number Time and stars the lovable character El Nombre. Each goes on sale from October 23, priced £1.75. {{CTN }}
