Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling HBC, has reported a 14% increase for its half-year operating profit compared to the previous year.

The company recorded profits of E219.3m for the half-year compared to E192.3m in 2003. It also saw a rise in net income from E107.3m in 2003 to E150.8m.

It reported a 29% rise in its second quarter net profit, which it attributed to lower taxation and favourable interest rates

Doros Constantinou, managing director of Coca-Cola HBC, said: “Pricing initiatives, mix improvement, cost control and financial management all contributed to strong earnings.”
