Coca-Cola is to take part in a recycling scheme that will give green-minded shoppers money off its brands.

It is teaming up with RecycleBank in an extension to a scheme that already involves 60,000 households in Windsor and Maidenhead.

Householders in the borough are currently rewarded with RecycleBank points redeemable via hundreds of local and national partners depending on how much they recycle in special electronically tagged bins. From next month they will be able to use points to claim money off Coca-Cola.

The scheme builds on Coca-Cola's partnership with Wrap to create 80 'Recycling Zones' nationwide. "As well as ensuring we recycle our own waste, we are committed to encouraging shoppers to recycle theirs," said Coke citizenship manager Liz Lowe.
