The Coca-Cola Company has reported a 7% increase in third-quarter sales to $6.454bn (£3.43bn), and an 11% increase in operating profit to $1.662bn.

In Europe, the soft drinks giant said that unit case volumes increased 10%, but net sales fell by 7% to $1.228bn.

Neville Isdell, chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, said: “I am pleased with our performance in the quarter and year-to-date, with most key markets making a positive contribution.”
