A new entry-level tier is to be added to the Champagne Charles Lafitte range this year. Charles Lafitte Grand Cuvée will be launched with a non-vintage brut Champagne this week (rsp: £27.99). A rosé, a demi-sec and a vintage Champagne will follow over the next few months.
Brand owner Vranken-Pommery Monopole is hoping the competitive pricing and style of the Champagne will appeal to a wide range of fans. "The Champagne also has a great percentage of Chardonnay, which gives it a fresher style in keeping with the price," said marketing manager Colin Cameron.
