When cabbage is consumed

n The consumption of cabbage is virtually static versus last year, having declined by just 0.5%
n The 45+ age group account for 60.5% of all cabbage consumed
n However, while women 45+ are showing an increase in consumption compared to last year (up 2.8%), men are showing a decline (down 1.2%)
n Men 25-34 are showing the greatest levels of growth, +7.3% versus last year. This group account for 4.7% of consumption
n The groups showing the greatest decline in consumption versus last year are men 35-44, down by 11%. This group account for 5.4% of consumption
n The core occasion for the consumption of cabbage is the evening meal with 5 out of every 10 cabbages being consumed
n The next most popular meals for cabbage is lunch (34.3%). This occasion however is showing a decline of 2.2% versus last year
n There is virtually no consumption of cabbage at the breakfast and snacking occasions
n The most popular day for consumption of cabbage is Sunday
