A campaign is under way to boost the consumption of peas.
The Yes Peas campaign is set to start with three events planned over the next six months to encourage people to eat more of the vegetable.
According to campaigners from the Processed Vegetable Growers Association, more than one million Britons do not eat vegetables.
A spokesman said: “One helping of peas has as much vitamin C as two large oranges, as much fibre as a slice of wholemeal bread and as much thiamine as a pint of milk.”
The campaign will cover everything from cooking competitions to the Royal Show.
