Menzies Distribution will gain more than £180m in sales from contracts won in the past six months.

The newstrade wholesaler, which won business from Telegraph Media Group, Comag, Associated Newspapers and Frontline at the expense of Dawson News, said the contracts would boost its market share from 36% to 43%.

Menzies chairman William Thomson said full-year profits would be up on expectations, despite group sales for the six months to 30 June falling by 2% to £573.2m.
