The UK's top food and drinks companies will turn out in force at the Convenience Retailing Show at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre from March 13-15. Around 200 exhibitors will be at the show, organised by William Reed, publisher of The Grocer. A number will launch new products. These include Ginsters, launching World Foods, a range of six chilled ready meals. Ginsters will also show its premium sandwich range (see p61). Cott Beverages is featuring a serious alertness drink for drivers from the RAC and Del Monte juices in a 250ml can for the convenience market. Thorncroft is launching Thorncroft Mist, a zingy new drink in elderflower and pink ginger flavours. BCS is introducing Charisma, an entry level smartcard loyalty system for smaller retailers. And there will be launches of shop security, ATM and mobile phone card e-top up services. {{NEWS }}
