Retailers from Hull, Lichfield, and Ramsgate were supreme winners in this year's Top Shop awards, which are organised by The Grocer's sister magazine Convenience Store. Dillons in Lichfield, Staffordshire, run by Mavis Cunneelly, was winner in the CTN section. The store is seen as a leading training site by Dillons. Nick Simpson's Jacksons store in Hull (above) was winner in the c-store sector. Simpson was praised for excellent customer service. Winner in the symbol sector was Ben's Supermarket, run by Ben Patel in Ramsgate in Kent. Over the course of 16 years, turnover at the Londis store has risen from £8,000 a week to £35,000. {{NEWS }}
