A recent parliamentary debate on retailing raised core concerns of the convenience sector, according to ACS chief executive Trevor Dixon. During the debate MPs including Liberal Democrat Work & Pensions spokesman David Heath and DTI minister Douglas Alexander debated retail issues including proof of age, payroll administration and bootlegging. Dixon added: "We are delighted our campaign for first-year tax relief on security investment has received another boost. C-stores would invest more in security if this measure were in place. "We now need more action from government in response to the Better Regulation Task Force's report into the burdens faced by small stores." {{NEWS }}
