Do you think you have what it takes to be named as Britain’s best food and drink exporter? If so, you should be entering the Food from Britain Export Awards, which are being run in association with The Royal Bank of Scotland and The Grocer.
Now in their ninth year, the awards are bigger and better than ever. They are free to enter and any exporter, big or small, is eligible to take part. As well as seven product categories, there are four national awards up for grabs. Last year, Marlow Foods, Radnor Hills, Blackwood Distillers and Pritchitts were respectively named English, Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish exporters of the year. Marlow won the top award.
There are also prizes for the best new exporter and exhibitor of the year, as well as an award for marketing innovation, and a new one dubbed Image of Britain.
For details and entry forms, go to www.foodfrombritain.com. Entries must be in by October 7. Winners will be announced in London on December 14.
