Gerber Foods is putting its Ocean Spray flagship Cranberry Classic juice in a 250ml can in a bid to grow the brand in the convenience and forecourt sectors. The newcomer, which makes its debut early next month, joins one litre carton, 500ml PET bottle and 200ml three-carton pack formats. The entire range will benefit from a £5.6m marketing campaign planned for the summer. Activity includes TV ads and extensive sampling in the major multiples and at gyms and leisure centres. There will also be sampling at events aimed at the brand's target audience ­ women aged 25 and over. Cranberry is already vying with apple juice to be the nation's second favourite fruit juice after orange. Marketing manager Colin Davis said the new format was designed to boost on-the-go consumption. {{P&P }}
