UK food manufacturer Cranswick said third quarter like-for-like sales were up 11% boosted by its acquisition of The Sandwich Factory last October.

Cranswick said sales in the quarter rose to £70m from £58.3m with a £5.2m contribution from The Sandwich Factory.

Core sales of meat, sausages and continental products were ahead 12%, Cranswick said.

Pet sales increased by 63%, while agribusiness sales were down 14%.
