Cream-based liqueurs and bitters are set to become two of the fastest-growing sectors of the future, according to a new report.
Up-and-coming brands such as Dooley’s from United Brands, Talea by Italian producer Illva Saronno and Baja Rosa by US player White Rock Distilleries will increasingly challenge the supremacy of Diageo’s Baileys Irish Cream, reports Euromonitor International.
Bitters started to show improved sales at the end of last year.
The World Market for Spirits and FABs (Flavoured Alcoholic Beverages) report also said whisky was the best-performing spirit in terms of volume growth, with single malt Scotch driving growth in the global market.
