Danone has reported a 14.9% increase in first-quarter consolidated sales to E3,534m.

The food and drink group revealed that like-for-like group sales for the period increased by 9%, with fresh dairy product like-for-like sales up 9.5%, beverages up 11.8% and biscuit and cereal snacks increasing 3.5%.

Danone added that the first-quarter performance was in line with its overall expectations and that it was aiming for like-for-like sales growth of between 5 and 7% this year.
