Meat manufacturer Dawn Group is going on a recruitment drive to staff its new £32m plant in west Wales.
The company is looking to take on an extra 400 staff for its new flagship food plant at Cross Hands Food Park, Carmarthenshire, which is expected to be fully operational by the end of the summer.
The new facility was built as a replacement to the company’s original Cross Hands plant, seriously damaged by fire two years ago.
Dawn’s Pontardawe facility, which employs 50, will also be incorporated into the new plant which will provide both added value product and butchery retail packing.
A test kitchen will place heavy emphasis on new product development, Dawn Group said.
