Hazlewood Foods has appointed two senior executives at its new Deeside pizza toppings division as it shifts production from its Bedford plant.
Simon Staddon is joining as commercial director of the division. He will be responsible for business development, new product development and innovation as well as sales and marketing. He joins from Uniq, where he has held a number of positions over the past 16 years within St Ivel/Unigate, the last four at director level.
"Consolidating production at the new Deeside facility has created enormous opportunities to take advantage of superior methods of manufacture and to operate at significantly higher volume levels," said Staddon.
"The initial challenge is to ensure we optimise our innovation skills and resources to take full advantage of the new site's capabilities, while satisfying the needs of our customers and the consumer."
Frank Lewis takes on the role of senior npd and innovations manager.
He was previously site development manager for Geest and before that group development manager for Perkins Chilled Foods.
