Devon Desserts is to revive its brand with a series of new product launches in the run up to Christmas. It has teamed up with Thomas Lowndes for the first innovation, two new Harvey's Bristol Cream sherry trifles. Devon Desserts said it developed the premium pud to recover ground lost to value added desserts in recent months. The Christmas launch will be supported by a national £500,000 TV advertising campaign in December, backed with trade and consumer PR. The new summer fruits and madeira sponge trifle is targeted at 35+ BC1C2 women, available in single portions (2x125g, rsp £1.99) and family size (700g, rsp £3.99). Tony Hitchin, Devon Desserts sales and marketing director, said: "Further to the company's recent name-change, new corporate identity and relocation of head offices to the West Country, the Harvey Bristol Cream Sherry Trifle is the first in a series of several launches in the run up to Christmas." {{P&P }}
