Dutch-based retail group Ahold has had restrictions placed on the assets of its Argentine supermarket chain Disco, which it is trying to sell to a group led by Chilean retailer Cencosud.

The Buenos Aires stock exchange, said Disco had been informed of a "general restriction on the assets of the company" in relation to a case against it by the tax agency, known as AFIP.
