Dorset Cereals up for sale

Healthy cereals brand Dorset Cereals is up for sale for about £50m, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Industry sources told the newspaper privately-owned health food group Wellness Foods - which already owns Rowse Honey and organic juice brand Grove Fresh - was interested in acquiring Dorset Cereals, which is the UK’s second most popular muesli brand with a market share of 20%.

Alpen’s parent company Weetabix, owned by private equity firm Lion Capital, is also considered a potential bidder.
