Drinkaware has teamed up with raucous youth holiday operator Club 18-30 to highlight the dangers of excessive drinking.
The alcohol awareness charity will provide training to 160 reps from Club 18-30 with a theme ‘Why waste your week being wasted?’
The reps will be encouraged to pass on the dangers of alcohol misuse to the tens of thousands of young holidaymakers who visit the company’s 12 European resorts each summer.
Training will include tuition on facts and advice about staying safe when drinking in the sun and protecting personal possessions. Resorts will display Drinkaware merchandise, posters and banners.
“Challenging the culture of Brits boozing abroad is a difficult task and tackling the preconception that you must drink to have a good time on holiday is the starting point,” said Drinkaware chief executive Chris Sorek.
