Kingfisher says it will open 11 more of its Woolworths General Stores within the next six months. The next store will open in Muswell Hill in mid March. The first opened to shoppers in Palmers Green this week. The company said it was "coincidence" that both sites were in north London. Project manager Steven Round said the format was a "unique c-store." The 7,000 sq ft former Woolworths store in Palmers Green took four weeks to refurbish. It has key Superdrug products and takes over the pharmacy from a branch which used to trade close by. A Woolworths core range  cards, household and pick and mix  is boosted by food, including fruit and vegetables and staples as well as ready meals and snacks. l For full analysis and pictures, see page 38. {{NEWS }}
