Manufacturer led b2b trading exchange Transora is working with rival GlobalNetXchange on a pilot scheme with Procter & Gamble and Germany's Metro. Transora ceo Judith Sprieser said alliances between exchanges would "accelerate the adoption of internet marketplace services among industry companies". The aim of the pilot is to enable Metro to exchange data with, and purchase goods from, P&G using a standard language developed by new partner UCCnet. Transora's product item catalogue is being tested in pilot transactions in the US ahead of its launch later this year. It has also announced partnerships with rival exchanges Novopoint and Foodtrader to develop programs for transactions between exchanges. A spokesman said: "Transora will provide connectivity to all the places our participants want to go online, some of which will be delivered through other marketplaces such as Novopoint or Foodtrader." {{NEWS }}
