Dairy Farmers of Britain has appointed Michael Cohen to the new role of marketing director.
Cohen joins Dairy Farmers of Britain from Marlow Foods where he was responsible for the marketing of its meat substitute brand Quorn. He started his career in 1994 at Shell International and has also worked for Unilever and Kellogg.
In his new role, Cohen will take responsibility for all the group's marketing, promotion and commercial advertising activities, initially reporting to DFB group managing director Andrew Cooksey.
DFB said that the role had been created to establish its brand as a major force in the UK dairy market.
Cohen said: "I am absolutely thrilled to be joining DFB at such an exciting time. With a rapidly increasing focus on how and where our food is produced, I hope to be able to bring some new perspectives to the business to help them to exploit their unique position within the dairy marketplace."
