TM Retail has converted 15 stores to its new More variety fascia as it takes on WHSmith and Woolworths on the high street. Marketing director Paul Baxter said: "We eventually plan to bring 137 of our larger stores up to the More standard. It will take some time as it is not just a matter of rebranding, we are putting in all the sections needed to compete with Woolworths and WHSmith." More carries a strongly promotionally driven range of news, stationery books, drinks, snacks and music and will operate alongside TM Retail's preferred Martins newsagent and McColl's c-store fascias. The format was launched at a 5,000 sq ft store in Bicester last November after 18 months of trials in-store. TM Retail is also experimenting with six days a week deliveries from supplier P&H McLane and distributor Snow King, said Baxter. {{NEWS }}
