Sir; I was intrigued when reading this week's edition of The Grocer (March 18) to note that there did not appear to be any mention of brand management experience required for the vacancies in your appointments section. For a 39-year-old resting' national account manager who is turned down for positions due to my supposed lack of experience in this area, does this now mean I can declare I was successful at doing what any good salesman does, and that is to sell? Companies I have worked for in the past have not suffered due to my lack of being branded'. Let us hope that manufacturers and distributors are starting to see that experience and track records now count for a lot more than just stereotypical titles. Robert Capleton {{LETTERS }}
