Camelot's Christmas amnesty for underperforming national lottery retailers has ended with the resumption of its sales improvement programme.
It intends to accelerate the rate it removes terminals from this week, after a month's lull.
Camelot initially said it wanted to churn as many as 1,500 retailers a year through the programme, but recent figures show it removed only 148 terminals between January and November 2002.
Camelot will launch Instant scratchcards online in February at www.national-lottery.co.uk. The move is part of a £45m investment designed to make full lottery games available online by the end of this year.
