Camelot's Christmas amnesty for underperforming national lottery retailers has ended with the resumption of its sales improvement programme.
It intends to accelerate the rate it removes terminals from this week, after a month's lull.
Camelot initially said it wanted to churn as many as 1,500 retailers a year through the programme, but recent figures show it removed only 148 terminals between January and November 2002.
Camelot will launch Instant scratchcards online in February at The move is part of a £45m investment designed to make full lottery games available online by the end of this year.
