John Fingleton, chief of the OFT, has had a turbulent time since taking up the hot seat.

However, there's good news on the way. The former chairman of the Irish Competition Authority has put his Dublin home on the market, having acquired a London apartment.

And with Irish property prices going through the roof, there is no shortage of interest in his Victorian property in Phibsboro.

The guide price is €775,000. But with strong competition expected from bidders, something free market fan Fingleton favours, the final figure could be €1m.
