First Drinks Brands' talent for redeveloping mature brands and bringing them back to life is to be applied to the leading fino sherry Tio Pepe. There are plans for a relaunch next year supported by consumer advertising. The decision by the major spirit companies to concentrate on a few core brands has given smaller companies the chance to exploit the niches. First Drinks, with its diverse and unlikely collection of brands, is making the most of the opportunities. Md Chris Mason said: "There are brands which have been playing second fiddle and we can give them more focus and attention." There are also big plans for Disaronno, the Italian liqueur that left the UDV portfolio this year. With the support of the Italian parent company it is going to spend £1.7m advertising it next year and £2m each year for the following two years. {{DRINKS }}
