Calling all salty sea dogs - it's time to stretch your sea legs and raise some money for grocery charity Caravan.

That's the message from organisers of the Food Industry Sailing Challenge, which is urging people in the grocery industry to take part in the two-day sailing event to be held at Cowes on the Isle of Wight on 19 and 20 June this year.

Last year, the event raised £8,000 for Caravan, with 13 teams taking part.

No previous sailing experience is needed. Each boat's crew of up to seven people is helped by experienced skippers from the Royal Yacht Squadron.

"The event offers a real opportunity for industry professionals to have a great time while raising valuable funds for charity," said event founder Philip Gibson. "Sailing is a great way of entertaining customers and the competitive edge makes it a valuable team-building experience."

Entry cost per team is £6,300 plus VAT. For details and online booking visit
