Seven finalists have been selected for the Food and Drink Federation Community Partnership Awards after the second phase of judging.
The awards, which have been arranged in partnership with William Reed, publisher of The Grocer, are in recognition of companies' commitment to the community.
FDF deputy director general Martin Paterson, who was on the panel of judges, said: "The UK food and drink industry is at the heart of Britain's communities, and these awards are set to highlight the depth and scale of that engagement.
"The entries received were breathtaking in their range and scale and demonstrated the commitment to the community of companies both large and small.
"Such a high standard of entries, made the judges task very difficult." Unilever, Nestlé, Walkers, Cadbury Trebor Bassett, Kellogg, Macphie of Glenbervie and Midlands Co-op Dairy Division, were selected by the judging panel.
The awards will be presented at the annual FDF President's Dinner which takes place on March 6 at the Intercontinental Hotel, London.
