North London olive and Mediterranean food distributor The Fresh Olive Company of Provence has gone into administration.

The business, which employs 100 staff and supplies independent retailers, caterers and food manufacturers, had faced cashflow problems in recent months, according to administrators Zolfo Cooper.

"We are seeking expressions of interest in the hope of securing the future of the business," said joint administrator Alastair Beveridge. "We will continue to trade while we explore options for the business."
