A report in to the issues of promoting food to children will be published tomorrow by the Food Standards Agency.

Research examined the way foods are advertised to children and if there were links between promotional activity and children's eating patterns.

The FSA commissioned Professor Gerard Hastings from the University of Strathclyde to conduct a review of the research.

Meanwhile, the FSA has set up a new portal to support the UK's food law enforcers.

The site includes links to food hazard warnings and local authority audit reports and enforcement data.
